Diversity in Action

Leadership Development

Diversity and inclusion workshops are designed to allow teams to identify challenges and deficiencies, and provide structured guidance and group collaboration to help acknowledge where improvements can be applied companywide and culturally grow beyond actual or implied barriers. Best practice options are also discussed to encourage continued education, employ metrics to monitor success or identify failures, and continue to provoke positive actions, or ‘provactional’ activities, that collectively promote equity maturity.

The CIO Executive Council’s custom group-leadership development programs provide a structured way for organizations to identify their current level of capabilities and organizational maturity, identify the gaps and understand where they are today versus where they need to be as an organization, and realize the steps that need to be taken to maintain competitive parity and achieve industry superiority.

Through our virtual programming, IT executives will leverage the CIO Executive Council’s Future State Framework and CIO Advisor-led insights and expertise to create and define a strategic road map to move forward. This is coupled with tactical guidance and specific next steps for addressing and closing identified gaps to drive successful business outcomes.

THESE UNIQUE WORKSHOPS HELP IDENTIFY THE PREVAILING ISSUES IN THE AREAS OF EQUITY, DIVERSITY, and INCLUSION.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

PRE-WORK

The team will take part in a comprehensive survey prior to the engagement that focuses on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Results will be compiled and a needs analysis call scheduled to review identified gap areas.

ALIGNMENT

A CIO Executive Council moderator will outline the workshop format and clearly articulate the importance of EDI. A CIO Advisor will then deliver a presentation to share actual, real-world experiences that will provide valuable insights on the appropriate  strategic vision that should be adopted by IT.

ASSESSMENT

Team members will take part in two working discussion groups – the first examining key challenges revealed in the survey findings (EDI Gap Analysis). A second session drills down to consider EDI solutions.

IDEAS INTO ACTION

The CIO Advisor and participants will engage in an interactive discussion, developing an action plan and creation of a roadmap to address previously identified areas requiring improvement and apply lessons learned during the sessions.
