2020 State of the CIO Survey: Presentation and IT Leadership Discussion
If you missed the presentation, here is a link to the recording:
In last year’s annual State of the CIO Survey, more than two-thirds of the IT leaders polled admitted spending more time on developing business strategies that help drive innovation and support corporate-wide go-to-market plans – a 14% jump from the previous year’s figures.
As digital transformation (DX) continues to mature, CIOs are clearly shouldering more responsibilities related to the business than ever before. At the same time, however, CIOs are also managing an increasing amount of functional IT activities, ranging from necessary resource upgrades and staffing to technical debt and security.
This year, IDG and CIO’s 19th annual State of the CIO Survey focuses on these and other issues that impact the CIO’s role and responsibilities as companies establish a technology solutions game plan for 2020. This definitive benchmarking analysis offers a practitioners’ view of the most pressing concerns and objectives in the enterprise today, including budgetary requirements, technology and business challenges, and the key skills needed to effectively execute initiatives and continue to innovate with purpose.
This exclusive presentation and discussion of the survey results, presented by CIO and the CIO Executive Council, will be hosted by Adam Dennison, SVP/General Manager, IDG Events & Publisher, CIO. Adam will be joined by Shannon Gath, VP & CIO at AMAG Pharmaceuticals; Nicole Raimundo, CIO for Town of Cary, North Carolina; and David Behen, VP & CIO at La-Z-Boy, who will offer their perspectives and advice as it relates to the results of the survey.
