IT Operations in Transition: The Shift from Crisis Management to Business Catalyst
Thursday, October 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm ET
IT organizations have undergone dramatic changes over the past 18 months, quickly pivoting to adapt to the adverse and unprecedented challenges created by the pandemic and now reinventing itself to be more focused on practical product development and business objectives. While initial efforts were focused on quick response and survival, most initiatives now target revenue growth, recapturing market share, and resiliency against whatever might lie ahead. Many believe the core structure of the IT organization has forever changed; but are those changes sustainable?
This session will explore the fundamentals of the future enterprise as IT organizations continue transforming to meet the challenges of the ‘next normal.’ Hurdles ahead include a continued drive to reduce costs and improve efficiencies, a dearth of qualified IT talent, cybersecurity risks, the existence of siloed applications and data, and the effectiveness of team leadership in a hybrid work environment. All of these issues will be addressed by IT leaders who are establishing new rules and directions in change management as IT becomes more aligned with OT in meeting business objectives. We will be joined by Christine Holzem, Group Vice President at Federal Reserve IT and Steven John, CIO at AmeriPride Services Inc., an Aramark Company.
