Reinventing and Refining the IT Organization

Thursday, September 22, 2022 @ 2:00 pm ET

To be responsive, effective, and in tune with corporate objectives the structure of an IT organization must be able to adapt to different challenges and demands from both the business and internal and external customers. That fact has never been more of a reality than over the past two years as many companies have shifted to a hybrid work environment, digital customer demands have escalated, and IT is charged with becoming more business-focused and revenue-minded.

Reworking the IT organization today to meet these demands requires focusing on five critical areas, according to IDC and its research related to Future IT and the IT organizational structure. These include leadership and governance, privacy and security, digital infrastructure, IT products and services, and innovation and intelligence.

In this session, we explored the changing face of the IT organization as its adjusts, and in many cases reinvents itself, to meet new demands and challenges. The discussion featured IT leaders who are successfully positioning their organizations to be more resilient, resourceful, and responsive, including Vishal Gupta, CTO & CIO, SVP Connected Technology, Lexmark and Jeannie Schneider, CTO, Hines.
